Getting Started

Our teaching method is three steps; first, introduce students to the history of a conflict by exploring that history through its competing narratives, second, use lesson time for the students to learn exploring sources and third, develop students’ ability to create and challenge historical arguments through discussion and debate.

Our eBooks are designed to be easy to use for teachers and students and are accessible on desktops, laptops, tablets and mobiles.  All you need to do is sign-up and login to access our educational resources.

Educational Resources: Scheme of Work structure and content

Each investigation – or eBook – is focused on a genuine historical controversy and provides the framework for an investigation and debate into the Parallel Histories within.

Within each eBook there is always (i) interactive videos and transcripts explaining the history as two competing narratives (ii) at least 20 pieces of source evidence of varying difficulty, and (iii) suggested source-based activities and discussion points for students to develop their skills and explore the history.
